In an age of acceleration, “arrival” has become easier than ever. Yet “dwelling” — as a slower way of living, deeply connected to space, time, and perception — deserves deeper exploration.
“Beyond Arrival, Between Dwelling” marks YINJISPACE’s first sharing session in Shanghai in 2026. The event brings together two guests from different cultural contexts, each with long-standing dedication to their own field of practice: Katrine Goldstein, CEO and Partner of Norm Architects from Copenhagen, Denmark, and Mr. Lai Guoping, founder of SUNYATA.
This dialogue crosses geography, while pointing toward a shared concern: how can space be truly experienced and inhabited in contemporary life? When design is no longer only about form and style, how does it respond to bodily perception, the cultural context of place, and the continuity of time within architecture and everyday life?
